Lisa Greene, CFRE, President and CEO
Lisa Greene, owner and operator of Specialized Fundraising Services, Inc. for 25 years, she has specialized in list brokerage and direct mail fundraising consulting, working almost exclusively with nonprofit clients through most of her career. Lisa has operated an office in Spartanburg, SC, since 1992. Before starting Specialized Fundraising Services, Lisa set up independent fundraising divisions and partnered with two industry leaders.
Lisa started her career at the Walter Karl Companies where she worked in publishing and learned the ins and outs of direct marketing. She was quickly promoted and joined the Fundraising Division, which functioned as a full service direct response agency for the nonprofit sector.
It was at Walter Karl that she mentored with a 30-year fundraising veteran and industry leader, Don Kuhn, and learned much about the profession. She was eventually promoted to vice president in the Fundraising Division. Her responsibilities included overall strategic program planning and management for acquisition and renewal programs including both national and regional clients of all sizes.
After 8 years at the Walter Karl Companies Lisa started an independant fundraising division for a midwestern firm and later a large North Eastern list firm. She and her staff served and continue to serve a diversified group of clients both nationally and regionally. Serving many sectors including, national health agencies, children's causes, humane societies, public television, humanitarian aid organizations and religiously affiliated causes. Lisa became a Certified Fund Raising Executive in 1988. She is a member of AFP and the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) and has served as an operating committee member for DMA's nonprofit council.

Meet the key staff members at SFS.
Kevin Price, Vice President
Kevin J. Price joined Specialized Fundraising Services as Vice President in spring 2007. He brings to SFS over eighteen years of proven marketing and consultative sales experience. Having served both sides of the business, as a marketing director to inside sales, Kevin’s diverse experience provides a well-rounded understanding of the entire communications picture.
Kevin is responsible for sales and service of not for profit clients and serves as an SFS Executive Committee member, steering the company toward future growth.
Previous to joining SFS Kevin spent five years with Mokrynskidirect, a marketing services company known for its focus on consumer catalogs, where in 2002 he launched and ran the Fundraising Division. Under his leadership, the division worked with such accounts as America’s Second Harvest, the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, Lance Armstrong Foundation, Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, and United Spinal, to name a few.
Previously, Mr. Price worked with Huntsinger & Jeffer, a direct mail agency specializing in fundraising located in Richmond, Va. As Director of Business Development, List Services, he procured clients seeking list services as well as turnkey direct mail solutions, including e-marketing strategy. He was responsible for the list planning of the National American Red Cross, American Red Cross Chapters, including Massachusetts Bay, America’s Second Harvest, African Wildlife Foundation, Prevent Blindness of America, and Eastern Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Prior to Huntsinger & Jeffer, Mr. Price worked for mailing list brokerage and management firm Tony Murray and Associates (TMA) in Fairfax, Virginia, where he was an Account Executive. During his seven years at TMA, his accounts ranged from non-profits (i.e., Paralyzed Veterans of America, National Geographic Society, and Anti-Defamation League, as well as others), to publishers and seminar firms.
After TMA, Mr. Price was the Vice President of Sales for Victoria Marketing, a subsidiary of The Victoria Group, a management consulting firm headquartered in Fairfax, VA. While there, Mr. Price was responsible for the creation and development of the ISOutfittersä catalog, the first merchandise line in the industry to support the efforts of ISO and QS¾an international quality management initiative.
Mr. Price spent his childhood and adolescence in Fargo, N.D., and attended North Dakota State University. He graduated from NDSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics, and soon thereafter relocated to the Washington, D.C. area. The secret to his success, says Price, “… is building relationships through hands-on customer service and attention to detail. My role is to provide solutions to my clients’ needs, helping to make their work life just a little bit easier. A customer chooses to work with you because they trust and like you, and feel they can rely on your expertise and knowledge to get the job done right. There is nothing that makes me prouder than when I see a client satisfied with the work we’ve done together.”
Denise Hubbard, Director of Sales and Marketing
Denise’s joined SFS in June of 2008, her responsibilities focus on supporting sales of our managed lists properties and procurement of new accounts for SFS. Denise serves as an SFS Executive Committee member as well, her industry experience brings to the committee a keen perspective.
Denise’s background includes four years as Sales Executive for Avrick Direct, Inc. where she worked directly with the list brokerage community to expand Avrick’s visibility and increase overall sales, especially in the non-profit sector.
Prior to joining Avrick Direct, Inc., Denise spent 19 years in list brokerage and management at Media Marketplace and MKTG Services. She progressed from an entry level position in Media Marketplace to Senior Vice President of MKTG before leaving in 2004.
Denise started her career as a tele-sales associate and quickly expanded her role, throughout her 19 year tenure, she worked as Sales Manager and Advertising Coordinator within the list management side of the business, as well as a portion of her career as a List Broker. “Denise is so well rounded in her direct marketing experience, having an intimate knowledge of the needs of list brokers and their clients, she understands the non-profit sector needs so well, but also brings to SFS knowledge and experience from the publishing and catalog industry." Denise works out of Elkton, MD.
Melissa Gibson, Director of List Brokerage
Melissa began her career, after graduating from The University of South Carolina in 2000. Melissa rose up through the ranks learning at the side of mentor Lisa Greene. She currently serves as list broker for a diverse group of nonprofit organizations including ALSAC St. Jude Chidlren's Research Hospital and Plan International. Melissa’s clients encompass both national and regional clients in a diverse group of sectors including; children's hospitals, international children’s organizations, humane societies and social welfare accounts. She oversees most brokerage accounts and acts as the “go to” person for many of the questions and problems that arise each day, as well as training and directing less seasoned staff.
Melissa provides invaluable input to the SFS Executive Committee as well, working toward the common committee goal of steering the organization into the forefront of firms serving the non profit marketplace.
Mark Briggs, Senior Account Executive
In 2006, Mark was named one of Fundraising Success magazine’s Top Men in Fundraising, in part, due to his work as the database marketing manager at the United Spinal Association (formerly known as the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association), where he was in charge of all aspects of a 4,300,000 name marketing database, including file segmentation, circulation management, new name acquisition, list rental, response analysis and data integrity.
His previous experience included seven years at PEP-Direct Inc. as their marketing analyst. Among his duties, he was responsible for the yearly purchase of more than 15 million acquisition names and the supervision of merge/purge process.

Kelli Gosnell, Senior Account Executive
Kelli has worked in direct response marketing for over eight years, she interned with Specialized Fundraising Services as a student of Converse College. After graduation she worked as Marketing Coordinator for Emily Ray Inc. a boutique jewelry design company that markets to specialty retail establishments across the US. Her role was to design catalogs, attend trade shows and maintain show rooms in the apparel markets. After Emily Ray Kelli joined IMI Resort Marketing where she served as Direct Marketing Manager, she oversaw all direct marketing efforts from large acquisition mailings to smaller internal customer database mailings.
Kelli has worked for Specialized Fundraising Services for four years and has worked during her tenure with accounts such as American Breast Cancer Foundation and Muscular Dystrophy Association. She provides strategic planning and analytical services for a variety of national and regional clients.
Tracie Conner, Controller
Tracie joined SFS with over 24 years of Accounting and Office management experience. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of our Office and Accounting needs, including credit/collections, list management invoicing/payables and financial reports for our clients and for our company. Tracie’s prior experience includes working for public accounting firms, manufacturing companies and real estate development companies.
